Where would we be without customers? How we treat our customers is critical to the ongoing viability of our business. At the front-end, we make it easy and quick for a cashier to add new customers to the in-store Vision customer database. And almost effortless to sell products to customers where they have “special” pricing. For each customer in the database, we can track their purchases, using some form of customer identification (club card, name, phone number, etc.). Using this data, you, the retailer, can increase business by target marketing to your customers, based on buying habits, frequency (or lack thereof) of shopping at your store, or simply the location of their residence. Using sales history that is linked to a customer(s), the retailer can begin to interpret this data in multiple ways, providing you with information to help better service the customer.
